VimpelCom selects Amdocs for GSM and GPRS Billing and CRM

Moscow, New York and St. Louis, MO (July 11, 2001) - Open Joint Stock Company "Vimpel-Communications" ("VimpelCom") (NYSE: VIP), a leading provider of telecommunications services in Russia, and Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the world's leading provider of CRM, billing and order management solutions to the communications and IP industry, announced today that VimpelCom will implement Amdocs Ensemble for end-to-end billing and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for VimpelCom's cellular networks and GPRS.

With GPRS, VimpelCom customers will have always-on mobile access to multiple services via handheld devices, including online stock quotes and currency rates, entertainment and mobile games, traffic updates and access to personal banking, stock trading and e-shopping. Using notebooks and GPRS handsets, VimpelCom's customers will also have access to the Internet at a speed of approximately 40 kb/s.

Amdocs Ensemble will provide VimpelCom with a comprehensive, highly scalable solution for its billing, ordering and payment process, enabling VimpelCom to provide its customers with the ability to view their account details and make bill payments via handheld devices. In addition, Amdocs CRM will allow VimpelCom to improve overall customer service and create operational efficiencies with the Amdocs CRM Navigator application. Amdocs will also provide VimpelCom with complete integration services.
