VimpelCom extends Amdocs billing implementation with Amdocs ClarifyCRM to achieve true integrated customer management

VimpelCom consolidates all customer and business-facing processes onto a single Amdocs platform to provide a seamless customer experience

MOSCOW, Russia, and ST. LOUIS, MO — March 16, 2004 — “Vimpel-Communications” (“VimpelCom”) (NYSE: VIP), a leading provider of telecommunications services in Russia, and Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the world’s leading provider of billing and CRM for true integrated customer management, today announced that VimpelCom has successfully deployed Amdocs ClarifyCRM.

By implementing Amdocs ClarifyCRM, VimpelCom becomes the first Russian wireless telecommunications company to deploy an integrated customer management solution. Amdocs ClarifyCRM consolidates VimpelCom’s customer data onto a single Amdocs solution for centralized billing and customer care. In particular, Amdocs ClarifyCRM helps VimpelCom to improve handling and analysis of contacts from customers, providing a truly differentiated level of service in the competitive Russian wireless market place.

“In order to create a truly differentiated service experience for our growing base of customers, VimpelCom requires a system with the flexibility and scalability to support our frequently changing business processes and aggressive nationwide expansion,” said Jere Calmes, Vice President of Customer Operations and Product Management at VimpelCom. “The Amdocs solution improves VimpelCom’s operational efficiency, allows us to put our customers at the center of our business, and provides us with the advanced customer care capabilities and functionality critical for cost efficient and rapid expansion.”

The initial rollout of Amdocs ClarifyCRM is complete in Moscow and the regional branches of the Central Super Region, currently serving approximately 7 million Bee Line customers. Throughout 2004, VimpelCom intends to deploy Amdocs ClarifyCRM across the remaining super regions of VimpelCom’s growing nationwide footprint.  This deployment also marks the first CRM system rollout for Amdocs in Russia.

By achieving true integrated customer management, VimpelCom now enjoys the benefits of:

  • Unified, relevant customer information.
  • Improved service delivery at all stages of the customer lifecycle.
  • Ability to create additional upsell and cross-sell opportunities to build stronger, more profitable customer relationships.
  • Streamlined operations.
  • Cost efficiencies in its contact centers.

“We are delighted to assist VimpelCom in its continuing pursuit of improved service delivery capabilities and simplified customer experience through an integrated customer management approach,” said Michael Matthews, Chief Marketing Officer at Amdocs. “As VimpelCom continues its expansion across Russia, Amdocs will be ready with the solutions required to help the company grow its subscriber base, maintain customer loyalty, and increase profitability.”
