The telecom industry has struggled in recent years. As a sector we have not reinvented ourselves. VimpelCom announced an ambitious overhaul, which required a full rethink of our strategy. We have drastically improved our telecom business and capital structure and have also consolidated two of our key markets, Italy and Pakistan.
